Zoe-perry
Perry is the son Perry is the child of Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry, a director. On the ABC sitcom Roseanne (in flashback), her mother played Jackie Harris in two of Perry's initial TV roles. However, her parents did not let her perform until she reached the age of adulthood, for fear of the impact stress might have on their child. Perry admitted that she wasn't at ease in the stage during high school and began performing for a means to meet new students while at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Following her graduation, Perry went in New York to search for jobs on television, landing a couple of small parts in shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent However, she was stricken by homelessness and brought her back to California and she was able to find acting work. In 2013, she was a part of The Other Place on Broadway together with her mom. Perry was in the show with her father Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in the year 2015 on the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry was in nine episodes of The Family, an ABC drama The Family in 2016. Perry played a prominent role for the ABC Drama about politics Scandal that starred her dad. This year, she got a role as a young model of Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) on Young Sheldon, a spin-off of the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory again playing a young version of Mary Cooper's character. She was able to be cast in the role despite her close family connection to the character.
